I am married and live apart from
my husband, William Charles Bragg, and I reside at No 2.
Burnell Place, Sydney.
I know prisoner Samuel Freeman and
Ernest Alexander Ryan.
I first met them on Friday the 5th
June last about 9-30pm. in company with Ettie Kelly and a
man named Fred Vine at the corner of Elizabeth and Liverpool
Sts, Sydney.
Ettie Kelly introduced me to Freeman as "Jewey"
and. Freeman introduced Ryan to me as "Shinner". We stood
talking together for a few minutes and. Vine and. I left and
went to my home at 20 Nithsdale St, Sydney.
About 15 minutes
later Vine and. I returned to the corner of Liverpool and Elizabeth Sts and found that Freeman, Ryan and Ettie Kelly had
left.
We then went to Hartigan's hotel at the corner of
Castlereagh and Liverpool Sts, and saw Ryan, Freeman and Ettie
Kelly sitting in the parlor drinking lager beer. Vine and I
had a glass of lager beer. We all left the hotel shortly
afterwards and walked together to the corner of Liverpool and
Elizabeth Sts.
