Sir, In reference to your report No 53/345 of the 29th Ultimo, relative to the most suitable
site for a Police station in the Darling Downs District, upon the present establishment at
Wambo being removed. I am directed by His Excellency the Governor General, to
request that you will acertain by reference to the local surveyor whether there is a safe
and generarally available ford - situated within a reasonable distance of the spot proposed
by Mr Bagot, as without definate information on this point it cannot --- be determined
with certanity which of the sites named is best adapted for the purpose in question

Note PR - This is where I believe that 54/4622 should have been replaced with 54/6204
which would lead it back in progression with the Wombo letters. However it still does not
give any clue as to the location of the first mentioned letters on Wombo, Lower
Condamine or where the latter letters on Dalby may be located. I am particulary
interested in finding the original petitions sent in by Matthew Goggs and Jno. Ferrett
53/10040 and 52/511 respectively.
