appointment as Clerk of Petty Sessions Wombo Sir, Observing in the Govt. Gazette of 3rd Inst. that His Excellency the Governor General
has been pleased to appoint Mr Sydney Dowling Clerk of Petty Sessions at "Wombo" I
would respectfully suggest that there is a mistake, and that "Myall Creek" is intended.
There has been a Court of Petty Sessions at "Wombo" for the last 12 months; and Mr
Westmacot holds the situation of Clerk of the Bench there. The estimates for the new
Court of petty Sessions at "Myall Creek" were only passed during the late Sessions of the
Legislative Council I have etc. Arthur Hodgson J.P.
